What Do You Learn in an Online Aging Services Leadership Degree?
Aging services leadership brings together the human and operational sides of helping older adults live with dignity.
The field includes senior living, long term care, home and community based services, hospice and palliative care, and other supports for older adults and families. In this program, you’ll study the physical and social dimensions of aging, ageism and health disparities, person-centered care, policy, quality standards and the business of aging services.
The program also includes relevant coursework for students interested in grief, loss and end-of-life support, including mourning and family dynamics in the context of aging.
Applied learning: A personalized senior experience lets you apply what you have learned in an aging services setting and consider how you can lead, improve services and advocate for older adults.

In the online Aging Services Leadership program, you learn from faculty connected to health care and aging services across Colorado. Their experience includes long term care administration, aging policy, hospice and palliative care, rural health and community-based programs.
For example, Professor Amy Dore has more than 18 years of experience teaching health care management and aging services leadership. Her work focuses on aging and long term care, rural health, health disparities and workforce development. She brings real cases and current initiatives into her courses, connecting the human side of aging with the operational decisions that shape services for older adults.
