9NEWS U.S. Senate Debate at °®ÒºAƬ

Metropolitan State University of Denver and 9NEWS will host a U.S. Senate debate featuring U.S. Sen. John Hickenlooper and state Sen. Mark Baisley on Wednesday, Oct. 14, at the King Center on the Auraria Campus.

The one-hour debate will be moderated by 9NEWS journalists Kyle Clark and Marshall Zelinger and broadcast live.

U.S. Sen. John Hickenlooper (D)

U.S. Sen. John Hickenlooper (D) has served in the U.S. Senate since 2021 and previously served Colorado governor and mayor of Denver.

State Senator Mark Baisley (R)

State Sen. Mark Baisley (R)

State Sen. Mark Baisley (R) has represented Colorado Senate District 4 since 2023 and previously served in the Colorado House of Representatives.

Due to limited seating for the live production and to support the educational experience of °®ÒºAƬ students and the Auraria Campus community, a limited number of tickets to the in-person event will be distributed through campus communications and partner organizations.

A confirmation email and valid ID will be required for admittance.

  • Watch live on KTVD-TV or stream the debate on beginning at 6:30 p.m.
  • will also broadcast live from the King Center from 6-6:30 p.m., immediately preceding the debate.
