I am seeking a bachelor's degree and teacher licensure
Most School of Education (SOE) programs have a unique and/or supplemental application process. Please read below to begin this process, depending on the program in which you wish to enroll.
I am seeking a bachelor's degree and teacher licensure
I have a bachelor's degree and am seeking teacher licensure
I have a teaching license and am seeking a new endorsement or recertification, or I'm applying for a special program
I have a bachelor's degree and am seeking a graduate degree or graduate certificate
°®ÒºAƬ’s teacher licensure programs are designed to meet the requirements for the State of Colorado. If you plan to pursue a teaching career outside of Colorado that will require a license for employment, you may need to satisfy additional requirements before earning licensure outside of Colorado’s borders. If you think there is any chance this may apply to you, we encourage you to review the state’s requirements for working in the industry. Some states may require you to complete additional practicums, background checks, graduate-level educational programs, continuing education requirements, or sit for a competency exam. If you plan to rely on licensing reciprocity agreements or compacts to help facilitate this process, we encourage you to look into the requirements needed now, and to plan on first obtaining your license in Colorado.
If you’re not sure how this might impact you, you are welcome to send an email to [email protected] with any questions, or you can schedule an appointment with one of our advisors.
Before submitting your School of Education (SOE) application, make sure you’ve applied and been accepted to °®ÒºAƬ.

If you have attended any other colleges or universities, make sure you’ve ordered official transcripts from each one to °®ÒºAƬ. Your transcripts are an important part of your admission to the School of Education!
We typically recommend that you meet with one of our School of Education Professional Advisors before you submit your SOE application. If you haven’t already done so, request an appointment now and we’ll help you schedule an appointment with an appropriate advisor.

For applicants in this category, we encourage you to meet with an appropriate School of Education (SOE) advisor prior to taking the steps to be admitted to °®ÒºAƬ and the SOE. We want to be sure your path will meet your goals and that we’ve given you the proper guidance to get started.
You can request an appointment using the following link and we’ll help you schedule an appointment with an appropriate advisor.
Before you can complete our school-level application process, you must first apply and be accepted to °®ÒºAƬ as an undergraduate student.
How do you know if you’ve been accepted? You will receive an acceptance letter, a Student ID Number and an active °®ÒºAƬ email address.
Tip: When applying to °®ÒºAƬ, you will encounter a section of the application titled “°®ÒºAƬ Plans“. You must select “Non-Degree Seeking” for programs in this category (added endorsements, recertification, director qualification, etc.).
Applicants in this category have typically earned a bachelor’s degree. If that is the case and your degree was from an institution other than °®ÒºAƬ, please order official transcripts from that institution sent to °®ÒºAƬ. This will make it easier for us to verify your previous degree if you are seeking an added endorsement or recertification for your teaching license.
All SOE applicants will earn at least provisional admission once processed. While not all applicants in this category need to meet the requirements to become formally admitted, some will benefit from it, so it’s not a bad idea to understand the requirements up front.
