I have an undergraduate degree in Marketing from Colorado State University.Ìý I had an international marketing internship in the Slovak Republic that helpedÌýme land NO jobs upon my return to the UnitedÌýStates.Ìý This is where I began my service career at Red Robin.Ìý Through contacts at Red Robin, I found my first “real jobâ€ at Farmers InsuranceÌý(not in marketing), where the company paid for my Master of Science in Finance from UCD.Ìý I worked my way up to the highest position in theÌýclaimsÌýoperation in the state of Colorado, butÌýquit working to stay home when I became a Mom.Ìý However, IÌýknew I would reenter the workforce oneÌýday.Ìý I found my way to MSU, pursued my MPAcc, met aÌýclassmate who owned a tax firm who hired me, and started my accounting career in tax.Ìý I became a CPA and, when an unexpected openingÌýoccurred in the °®ÒºAƬ accounting department, I was blessed with being able to fill the position.Ìý I love my current role and am truly gratefulÌýto MSU for giving me this opportunity.Ìý Ìý

±õ’v±ð worked in public accounting for a little over six years and earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Accounting from Metro in 2021. One of the most impactful experiences during my time there was attending a Meet the Firms event, where I landed my first internship. Now, as a Metro alum who helps with recruiting at my firm, ±õ’v±ð seen firsthand how those events can open doors, both as a student looking for opportunities and as a professional seeking future talent.Ìý
My name is Abbey Wellman, and I have been at Topel Forman for three and a half years. I started my career here focusing on professional recruiting, but my role has grown into intern recruiting for our Denver office, marketing and I help organize/plan all events for our recruiting team while I still higher for entry level positions. Before this I worked in sales at Howies Athletic Tape and was also a Varsity Swimming and Diving Coach after my collegiate swimming career.
