Winterim is a highly accelerated two-week course that covers the same material typically taught during a 16-week semester. Missing even one day can be equivalent to missing nearly two weeks of a regular semester.

Important: Log in on the first day

To remain enrolled in a PSY Winterim course, you must log in and access your course in Canvas by 11:59 p.m. on the first day of class.

Students who do not access their Canvas course by the deadline will be dropped from the course by the Department of Psychological Sciences before the Winterim drop deadline. This allows students who are dropped to receive a refund for the course.

If being dropped changes your enrollment from full-time to part-time, you may register for a full-term course before the self-registration deadline.

Can’t log in on the first day?

If you know you will not be able to access your course by the deadline, contact your instructor by 11:59 p.m. on the first day of class using your °®ÒºAƬ email account. This will help prevent you from being dropped from the course.

Enrolled in Winterim by mistake?

If you intended to register for a regular semester course instead of a Winterim course, visit the Student Hub and select Register for Classes to drop the Winterim course and register for another available section.
